EDWARD MATHIS, PT, DPT
“I work both in the acute setting as the Inpatient Rehab Coordinator and in the main outpatient clinic in Iron Mountain. My primary goal is best summed up in the American Physical Therapy Association’s new vision statement: "Transforming society by optimizing movement to improve the human experience." I wake up each morning and am excited to able to evaluate each patient’s mobility restrictions and analyze what treatment techniques I can apply to meet their goals. In addition to therapist technique, I strongly emphasize home program and education to allow the patient to increase their locus of control over their dysfunction.”

LANNY BROWN, PTA
"Fifteen years of experience working as a physical therapist assistant mostly in inpatient acute care and home health settings, I’ve met many great people. The gratification I get from seeing a patient recover their independence after a surgery, serious fall or neurological condition ect.. can’t be seen on a paycheck. My philosophy is: “ put yourself in the place of the patient. How would I want to be treated?” Therefore my goal as a PTA is to design an individual plan that meets the patients needs and one they can live with. Going beyond physical therapy, I believe in advocating for my patients; calling doctors, social workers and outside agencies in order to provide patients with tools to get back their independence. From being homebound, to driving yourself to the grocery store……Priceless!"

"Physical therapy and cancer are words that people don’t associate with each other. It has been proven, however, that physical therapy can help patients maintain strength and range of motion to help increase function during and after cancer treatments. "

JESSICA ROELL, PTA
“Being able to provide care in a variety of settings allows me to become more familiar with the patients personal goals and functional abilities, which I am very grateful in being able to provide them consistent, continuous care. I enjoy following them through their journey and trying to make their transition from each stage of therapy as comfortable as possible."
